It is good to finally know what all the fuss about Facebook is about. I see it primarily as a socialization tool, but I suppose there can be library applications.
I searched the BCL network and posted messages on the walls of two friends, who also posted messages on my wall. It was fun to learn more about the private lives of my colleagues. I also joined the NextGen Librarians group to try to learn more about how new librarians think, but I did not find anything particularly interesting there. I will join some other librarian groups to see if they are using Facebook for more professional purposes.
